GROUPS

Group cycle.  A novel and exciting way for groups to spend time together is to combine a cycling tour with multi-sports — hiking, sailing, sea kayaking — as well as leisure pursuits, like a traditional Greek cooking class, local wine tasting or exploring Greece’s bountiful ancient history.  Browse our tours and choose any one of them to convert it into a group tour with your own dates.   We can tweak all tours to tailor the profile of your group, that is to the ability levels of your group’s members.

Celebrations.  Milestone events are a great reason to bring family and friends together for a biking extravaganza in Greece, as Nancy Aronson of Vermont did to celebrate her 60th birthday in Naxos, Paros and Santorini.   When Joanne Thring of Toronto turned 60, she rallied twenty of her intimates to join her on a bike tour to her ancestral village near Sparta.   We customized the Thring tour to include activities for the non-cycling participants.

Cruise Ship Travelers.  Groups who cruise together often seek out an active shore excursion.  Our Athens Day Tours offers the niche cruise traveler a variety of full day or half day biking tours.   The Ash group of eight riders from Colorado cycled the Attica coast to the Temple of Poseidon before they embarked for their cruise the next day.   The Yasner group of fourteen riders from New Jersey docked for one day in Piraeus (Athens’ port) and took our three hour Athens Bike Tours visiting 25 points of interest on a route 90% traffic free.

Trip Recommendation   An excellent tour for a group of five to six couples, or two to three families with kids, is Sail & Cycle which takes place on our traditional 82 foot wooden sailing yacht.   For a week, the party moves from island to island with toys on board — bikes, sea kayaks, fishing rods, snorkeling gear.   You can do your own cooking in the fully equipped galley, or ask for our chef to shop and prepare your meals because your group has more important duties, like R & R.
